Overclocking unlocked processor!?

Hi I had an AMD Athlon II X3 455 3.3GHz which is unlocked to a Phenom II X4 B55 via my Asus motherboard.

I've never overclocked before and I've been told to look for tried and tested safe overclock guides for my CPU but as mine is unlocked do I go for an Athlon X3 guide or Phenom X4?

Also I have CPUID Hardware Monitor and it shows my temp at 35*C to 37*C.
I am using the heatsink that came with the processor. What stress testing software is good to see what the temp goes up to? I understand if it goes over 60*C I will need to upgrade my heatsink? And maybe use arctic silver (silver paste)...

Prime 95 will stress it good.

I prefer to use a non-capacitive compound such as Arctic Cooling MX4. There's also no curing time required.

If you do buy a new cooler then quite often they come supplied with a decent enough thermal compound.

I would use phenom guide to o/c,but get another cooler first,just use the past that comes with new heatsink
