I want to delve into the seedy world of overclocking for the first time but I don't know how to do it properly

I've got an athlon64 3000+ and asrock dual sata mobo and the bios has a little thing where I can change the internal cpu frequency from 200. If I change this, will I also be changing the HTT frequency and the memory, or will it just affect the cpu? If it does where's the HTT multiplier and divider for the memory on my bios, as I can't seem to find it anywhere.
Can anyone help me?
