I'm trying to overclock on the the Asus A8N-VM 939 MB. Apparently its not a great board for overclocking since you can't adjust v-core.

However I can still overclock it from 2GHz to 2.27GHz. I stopped there because I noticed that when i do any overclocking, the computer will get into windows fine but when I restart windows, I get no monitor signal/no post. The only way is to switch off the PC and turn it back on again.

I tried lowering the HTT multiplier and using the RAM dividers. No luck. No problems occur when i return to stock speeds.

Does anyone know what I should do?

have you locked the pci-e or agp which ever it is for that board to the 100mhz or 66mhz that it can run at, otherwise adjusting the fsb will be overclocking you graphics as well?

Cheers, I'll check. Do most boards not do this by default?
