Overclocking virgin......

.....looking to pop his cherry. Have a Q6600 and a EVGA nForce650iUltra running Vista 64 and quite frankly dont have a clue. Anyone done it with that MOBO and CPU?

Oh, and a Arctic Cooling AC-FRZ-7P Freezer 7 with some of that tasty Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound Thermal paste.

Have a look at the trails and tribulations in this thread.

It's not on the eVGA board, but it is a q6600.

On the other hand, I do have the eVGA, but I'm running a QX6700. The board should certainly make a breeze, imo.

I was under the impression that nvidia chipsets had trouble with Quads in general. (When overclocking)
