Hi,

Iv have my gigabyte p55-usb3 and i5 [email protected] overclocked to 3.8ghz (using easytunes highest (3) option) and its been fine with cooling using the Titan Fenrir Evo..with prime95 running 100% load its says around 50-60 temp and idles around 25-35 ...

thing is ive just started tryin to get osx 'hackintosh' installed (just out of curiosity really) and have been going through a lot of boot failures ide/sata/ahci settings and changing drives.. then i received a red bios message saying something along the lines of 'boot failures due to overclocking' and it set it to defaults..

now im thinkin that was just some fail safe routine that reports boot failures ASSUMING its down to overclocking just incase where as i think it actually was down to me constantly restarting while changing drives etc and to osx part failing all the time ?!

i could b wrong but that just what i thought it would b ..thanks to any1 that replys and soz if there is already a topic about this..(i had a look and couldnt see 1)

cheers
:)

not that i noticed.. it only noticed it thought me manually doing it.. saying that the last 1 or 2 times i manually did it it didnt seem to post / let me in the bios (would have that just been it restting itself tho ?)

but i think it only did it once or twice and im thinkin it was due to the bios resetting itself becuase of what it thought was an unbootable machine (but really was me turn it on/off 10,000times switchin drives etc) ..ahh il stay on the safe side and keep it @stock i guess :(

saying that tho if it was done with easytune (im sure proper oc'rs hate that thing) and the core temp on full load was about 60 after hours then wouldnt that b seen as pretty stable ?

thanks for taking the time to help :)
