Hey all,

I have an e6600, a Scythe Ninja Rev B, and a BFG 680i.

I want to overclock a bit and see what I can get out of it.

Can anyone tell me where the devil I should start - i'm a n00b at this. I've read the guides on here, but they aren't specific enough for me.

Cheers,

M

Cheers. :)

Can I ask what settings you have on your 680i to get that overclock? My multiplier is locked so i'm guessing its an FSB change + some voltage changes?

Ta,

M
for 3.6 my settings are, multiplier x9, cpu fsb 1600 with a cpu voltage of 1.525 set in bios, this is with my memory unlinked running at 800mhz with timings of 4,4,4,10, i wouldnt suggest leaping to this sort of oc straight of, try cpu voltage at 1.400 and raise the fsb to 1333, this will give a cpu clockspeed of 3ghz, test using orthos small FFT test for stability (8 hours is reccomended time) and monitor your temps with coretemp, i dont like to see mine go above 65'c. if the system passes 8 hours + you can raise the fsb more but then you may also have to raise the vcore if the system fails when running stress tests such as orthos

I have an e6600 and a 680i, Vcore is 1.375, 1.3V on the northbridge 3.2GHz (400x8), FSB at 1600 in sync with the ram at 800MHz.

Follow the sticky and it will all be okay.
