A friend has bought and built the following setup.

E2180
P5ND2 SE
2 x1gb of Ocz 800mhz
700w average psu

He wants to overclock but is struggling, I tried to explain to over X-fire on what to do but its hard when you don't have the system in front of you.

I realise the age of the mobo but got it anyway. I have tried to explain how things work with fsb, voltage etc..

I talked him through it but his system wouldn't boot. i told him to aim for around 3ghz and got from there, he disabled speedstep, esit & 1e etc..

He tried 3ghz @ 1.35v but it failed and he had to reset the cmos. i think it maybe something to do with the ram but i told him to set it to unlinked and still had probs.

The easiest thing would be for someone who has or had the board and can point him in the right direction.

He said he can't get on the forum because he's using an msn email etc .

Any one advise?
