Overclocking with Nvidia Control panel

I dunno wether this is the right section to post in but my mate wants to OC with nvidia control panel, any risks to doing this? I know its as not efficient method to doing it through BIOS but anything i should know about to ward him against it?

i've tried nvidias ntune, last time i used it, it BSOD my computer uninstalled the software and went back to old school overclocking, best is always in the bios

definilty do not use it. It's junk and it has the ability to mess up your system.

Its a total pile of crap and can kill components. Avoid like a dose of the clap...
