I currently have an ASUS Sabertooth 990FX motherboard and an AMD FX-8370e CPU. Will I struggle from motherboard/NB etc temps if I start overclocking or will the board be fine for heat? My GPU and CPU are both watercooled but I am wondering will the board be fine as there are no pre made blocks out there for this board...

Asus sabertooth is definitely one of the best boards around for an FX to overclock with, you'll definitely get some good results out of it. I have the crosshair v formula z and my brother has the 990fx sabertooth. We've both overclocked using these boards, reviews and results are good!

Yeah you will be fine with that board for sure. Head over to the FX overclocking thread for some tips and q's. Good luck.

I can't find this thread?

I got my VCORE-1 up to 80 degrees, but I changed my fan settings for case and that seems to have fixed it I don't think they were set to go high enough.

No prob, it seems the search function here doesnt bring it up for me neither. There is a fair bit to wade through but it worth it. Davedree has some good advise there. Good luck.

I'm reading through it now, to be honest I have not overclocked for years as I lost interest in computers. It's all confusing, I can easily overclock with multiplier and voltage but then I can get the same overclock with a lower multiplier and higher bus and it is just remembering and undersanding what one is better to do and ram dividers etc! It's all confusing :D

I've got the same board with an 8350, sat @4.7 all day long. Great board but without active cooling on them the VRM temperatures soar!! I've seen 100 degrees on VCORE-1 here.

Got a couple of 40mm fans enroute which I'll mount over the VRM's - try and see what that does to the temp.
