spec:

2.8 @ 3.2 Dual core pentium
2Gb RAM
1950XT
250Gb HDD x3
Windows vista businessI have got ATI tools 0.26 running ok, I have set the voltage up and the core and mem are: 654 / 920

Im concerned that the clocks are going back to the defaults when running a 3d app. After the 3d app closes the clocks are the 2d clocks (500 /600).

I have saved the profile called overclocked atc and set it to start up with windows. that seem to be working but my 3d scores are lame. even when run on windows XP.

05 scores 8700
06 score: 5284

Any suggestions?

In XP going from stock pushed 3d05 from 9484 to 11226 with 655/927

Have you set the clocking at driver level ?

To test you could create a new profile and set the fans to 100% all the time at least you can hear if it's changing :D

I will try that, will get get back with a report.

Right,

As the poster said above, change fan speed to run when the new profile is loaded. That works so atleast i know the profile with the higher clock setting has been loaded. :)

But, the higher the core starting from 621mhz and gradualy going to 675mhz the 3d mark has gone down

Any ideas?
