Howdy,
First of all, just wanna say hi =D As you can see Iv newly signed up to the board, however Iv been browsing through it for a number of years.

I was just wondering, with my current gpu heatsink + fan, what would be the optimum performance I could get out my gfx card?

Furthermore, using stock cooling, what performance could I expect if I oc my cpu?

could get quite a good OC, might want to invest in a better cooler than stock though, freezer 64 is under £15 and will let you go a lot further than stock

well the 3500 you have is a lower rated wattage model, 67watts at 2.2ghz, so you should get a decent OC out of it before heat becomes an issue with any decent cooler :] just make sure you get a cooler that will fit inside your current system, the 120 is very large and the shape of it sometimes makes the closest memory slot inaccessable

ATI Tool is an excellent little ap you should grab, it will test both your cards core and memory and work out a safe, artifact free overclock for your card.

Venice cores overclock nicely too, so you should get a pretty nice performance boost with some tweaking.

mikeymike: Atm I have a Chieftec Dragon full tower case, however Im not sure if the heatsink will fit. The metal suport bar that goes across the case, below the psu might intefere with the heatsink.

Minstadave: Iv been using ATI Tool to oc my gfx card (awesome tool). Def the way forward when it comes to oc'ing ones gfx card =D

When it comes to oc'ing my cpu, I take it I should lower the multiplier and raise the fsb in small increments?

L110 x W125 x H63 (mm) Fin only, without fan
thats how big it is WITHOUT a fan, so add atleast 25mm for a big fat fan on top and your talking 90mm minimum clearance needed from the mobo, so get a ruler out and measure up :]
