I am thinking of overclocking my graphics card but want peoples suggestions as to what level of overclocking is possibly worthwhile, i.e. what might make a difference to fps when playing?

I have overclocked prior graphics cards by 5-10% on memory/ gpu typically (using ati tool) and am wondering if I was just wasting my time!:rolleyes:
 
Games playing: FEAR, COD4, unreal 3, Prey (and half life 1 :))
CPU not overclocked
play at 1600x1200...

I am worried over clocking mu cpu might have an adverse effect on my m/b and I only have a standard cooler

what sort of fps boost have you got from o/c the cpu?

it might be best to not overclock anything and just wait until I find a good deal on a 3870...
