Hi all,

So i'm thinking of 'Overclocking' my Quad system but...

Would you say with these temps its probably not a good idea?, looking at it each core is on 52, 53C. 66C overall. Normal temps are 35C core, 46C overall..

Iv read the sticky and have got all the tools ready and a nice 680i OC'ing PDF which is made by nVidia  I only really wont to get to about 3GIG, Im using a Ultra-120 cooler with a pritty beefy YS-TECK fan.

So what would you say guys?

They do seem a tad high, but that might be correct if your using stock heatsink. I would overclock it to 3Ghz and see what the temps are if they are dangerously high then either get a 3rd party cpu cooler (AC7 or Noctau or Thermalright) or if you already have one then you might need to take it off and re-apply the thermal compound and refitt your heatsink.
