Overclocking

Hi ,
I am overclocking the athlon in my sig. In The bios it is set to 200mhz by default , I am increasing this by 5 each time and the maxiumum is 300mhz , How far can I go?

It will depepend on the cpu but in theory the maximum you can expect from your setup is
300mhz x 14.5 multi = 4350mhz
however this all depepnds on how good the cpu is, your memory, mobo and cooling.
but by going up in 5mhz jumps and testing each time you will eventually get to your cpu's maximum.

make sure you're monitoring temperatures when stress testing. find out what the limit is for your cpu.

the limit for the new phenom ii's and athlon x2 cpu's is 62c when testing you want to keep the load temps below 55c
