Anyone else following the progress of this? Had my eye on the blog for a while. it looks... different. The very open nature of the development is refreshing. I have enjoyed the dev changelog videos a lot

Overgrowth is a 3d action-adventure game for Mac, Windows, and Linux, coming soon from the independent game studio, Wolfire Games. It is the spiritual successor to Lugaru.

I played the demo for the first game. The graphics of the first game sucked but the game was so smooth and polished in a way it was amazing.

My friend pre-ordered and he has access to the beta. I don't know if this is for everyone but yeah.

Play the demo of Lugaru, will give you an idea. TBH I never bought the original as I had too many games to play and not enough time and didn't fancy risking buying such an out there game

Overgrowth looks more fleshed out combat wise. Hopefully Wolfire can add in proper "game" content rather than run here - kill that. Will take a gamble and pre order it when I have £18 odd spare in paypal

I got Lugaru as part of a bundle, and while the fighting was really well done, I just didn't want to spend my time as a giant rabbit fighting other giant rabbits.

It was like this amazingly well done first person kung fu game, spoiled by the addition of rabbits.

Not sure on the art style either, they have a thing for rabbits and other small animals. "Furries" will lap it up though

So because there's giant rabbits in it, there must be a sexual connotation? What about the hundreds of millions of gamers, who must be homos playing games with ripped space marines/soldiers/athletes?
