3weeks ago I built a new pc ant it was running perfectly under stress tests, games and every day use but I turned it on today and wile I was messing with the RGB on the case fans the pc shut down due to CPU overheat ...temps were hitting over 105degrees instantly.
All fans are working
I tried reseating the aio
My pc spec is this:
I9 12900k
Ryujin 2 360mm aio
32gb ddr5 ram
Rtx 3080
Corsair 1600w psu

Feel the pipes on the pump inlet and outlet to see if they are both hot, only one hot etc. I have had it in the past when the pump impeller thingy breaks off the spindle. It still reports a rpm but isnt actually spinning.

Thanks for all your replies, I managed to get the pc to run long enough to check if the pump was working and well it wasn't lol so I guess I'll RMA it

Get a cpu socket frame thing too, common issue with Alder Lake.
Didn't need to as under load while overclocked I was hitting a max of 82 degrees when testing with cinibench r23 while it's hotter than I would like it's not bad considering during most game sessions it stays under 60degrees thanks to undervolting it.

As it happens it seems my issue is that the pump isn't working.

I think Cinebench warms most CPUs higher than gaming does but with my Ryzen 7 5700x it’s actually lower. Cinebench temp 57C gaming temps 64C.

Nice and cool Cinebench and the gaming temps aren’t bad either, air cooled CPU as well.

Well we didn't know that at the point of posting, did we? No point barking up with the same thing someone has also posted for the OP to check.

Even with a working AIO, it's not a bad thing to have really...

and if your temps are fine anyway the bracket makes like a 2c difference
