Hi,
I have an old Phenom II 720 that I run as a media server and number cruncher.
I tend not to look at it that often as it sits in the background.
But the PSU blew a week ago and when I restarted it I noticed the CPU temp hitting 80 degrees. So I took off the cooler, cleaned it up and reapplied thermal paste and started it again. Still back up to 80 degrees.
The PC is run at stock but I'm at a loss as to why its not over heating.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Anthony
