Any Ideas what could be going on here? All heat skinks in the PC seem fairly cool.

The PC will shut down when under load, when I'm playing a game or if I run SP2004, I guess this is due to the thermal protection?

Any Idea exactly what Temp 1, Temp 2, Temp 3 are?

This is'nt the PC in my sig. Althlon xp on a old gigabyte motherboard, nothing overclocked.

Cheers people

Yeh that old beast is in the loft. May had to go swipe its power supply! its a strange one. I guess the -12 rail should read something close to 12 and not 7! and the -5, 5 not 2

I wouldnt tbh you'll cause your self more greif, you should most likely ignore the -12v readings but the others look in spec just about. Also I noticed one of the temp's is 108c  . WTF.

Temp 1 and 2 are pushing 60C, check the BIOS thermal shutdown settings as the default for mine was 60 degrees, you can push it higher. Also, if heat sinks are cool to the touch you may need to reseat them.

Cheers people. I think I've solved the problem. The cool Processor heat sink being the clue. Added some more thermal paste to the underside f the hs, and all seems fine now. temps have dropped, and the computer was not long shutting down during sp2004 or when I fired up a game for abit.
