ok help me my computer is overheating way too much!!! its not overclocked, its got its stock fan on and no setting have been changed. i have an alarm goes of when cpu passes 55oC it easily reaches 55oC while playing games.....but why? i have added another fan on bracket as i thought it may have been my graphics card, the cpu cooler has been removed and cleaned several times, thermal pastes has been cleaned off and reapplied. should i just give up and buy need heatsink and fan or can this be fixed?

cheers

What cpu?
What fan?
You sure its reading the temps right? If it was the graphics card 55 would be fine.

The best heatsink around is the Scythe ninja. The Arctic cooling freezer 64 is a good budget option.
