Hi, I bought a PC setup from OC around a year ago and i have finally worked out overheating has been whats causing me problems, basically I want to know the easiest and quietest way to cool the thing down.. at the moment I have a huge fan next to it which can hold it going for a bit but it can still get too hot at times. I dont really want to spend TOO much money but I will see what there is to offer.
The case im using right now is the coolermaster wavemaster, I dont know if this could be causing it to overheat because it is pretty tight inside. I have looked at watercooling but im not too confident about setting it up, but it does sound nice the way there is no noise..
anyway any advice would be helpful

ok thanks for the reply, i bought the system in parts, built it myself.. i am pretty sure its the graphics card overheating, I have read up on the errors I get and most people said it was the gfx card overheating. without the fan there speedfan was showing some of the temps at 60, when i was just browsing the net. Im not bothered about the looks of the case anymore, i just want the damn thing to work properly...

setup i have is:

amd 64 fx55
nvidia 6800 GT
2GB corsair RAM
74gb raptor
250gb something else
 
im too scared to reseat the heatsink hehe but maybe I will have to try that, the fans in there are 2 at the front and 1 at the back, obviously one on the heatsink aswell

ah yeah the problem I have is a BSOD but I have tried every single way of fixing the problem, been on loads of forums trying to fix it and then worked out putting a fan next to the PC fixes it.

ah problem is prime95 crashes once I see the temps going up, and also I dont know which temp means CPU etc on speedfan, it just says "temp1, temp2 etc"
 
its not overclocked, or atleast i dont remember overclocking it. I am using a ThermalRight XP-90, I dont have any of the gel left though. I have tried replacing the RAM and that didnt sort anything out so we can cross that off
