I have a 4850 with custom cooler and has been fine for a while with core temp neever going above 75c

recently i got a nice gadget for my sidebar and i nearly screamed when i saw the temps

core temp = 75c under 100% load [sounds good]

display IO, memory IO, and shader IO were all 100-108c

is this normal? should i stop playing till i sort this out?

why would core be 75c under 100% and the rest over 100?
