Overlocking 8800 GTS noob!

I just got my 8800 at the weekend, what tool can I use to overclock it please? I did a search but people were saying graphics overclocking doesnt work under vista? I run Vista 32bit.

install latest nvidia vista 32 bit drivers , and ntune, then activate the utitlites within the nvidia control panel. Job done. It wont test if the settings are ok, but you can set the core and mem freq !!

I use Rivatuner as well, plus atitool to test for artifacts.

Ntune overclocks fine but doesn't save your overclock on startup so you have to remember to do every time. Used to work on XP, just another Vista niggle. Not sure if Rivatuner still save s for startup, anyone know?

Yep, rivatuner saves settings and applies at startup if you choose the setting to do that.

I used atitool to find my max core/mem speeds and I stopped it after 670/2012 because it kept going and I didn't want a GPF. Its been stable at that speed for the past hour with no artifacts.

I am going to set a lower 2d speed, what do you guys recommend, is 300/500 too slow?
