Trying to find something decent to play that i may have overlooked must be from the past couple years and maybe have coop. Resi 5 is all i can think of
 
Co-op?

Alien Swarm, Killing Floor, Demigod/Dota/HoN/LoL, Alien/Zombie Shooter, and I'm not sure, but I think Madballs has co-op :)
 
Lost Planet Extreme Colonies Edition with GFWL & free cross platform play vs 360 players. Looks similar to RE5 but a little better in most places. Has a 15 hour plus SP mode & about 100 hours plus MP. Always plenty of players online as well. Lots of fun, giant Japanese influenced bosses & mech battles and some very stylish snow covered & alien looking landscapes ;) Plays like a cross between, MGS, Gears Of War & Resident Evil4/5.
 
Deadspace may qualify as one of your overlooked games.

One of my fave games from the last few years. I'm a sucker for sci fihorror though. Once you disable Vsync this game plays like a dream with Mouse+keyboard.
