Overpriced?

Hi all.

I'm considering an A4 that I have seen for sale. It ticks all the boxes as to what I'm looking for, but I'm a little concerned that it is a bit overpriced, even with the low mileage. What are your thoughts?

2009 Red Audi A4 S-Line Quattro S-Tronic. Full leather, FSH, B&O stereo. 20k miles (checked MOT history, only did 2k last year). Up for a hair under £14,000.

Thoughts much appreciated.

For comparison I got my Octavia vrs 220tsi, 63plate for 13k.
If badges matter to you then yea Audi is overpriced for what they are. (Imo).

The mileage will be driving the price up. As you've shown with your example with 3 times the mileage of the OP example.

Yeah and I'd argue that it's not particularly important. It's not like the one I linked to has done 6-figure moon mileage. Anyway it's not a petrol so it's less relevant.

Have you checked the same model/specs for slightly newer/more miles for price difference?

Whilst it's not a diesel, i'd still be pretty concerned as to why it's driven an average of 2.5k miles a year. (20k / 8 years).

I guess what puts me off the most is that price for the age. It's quite surprising, i bought my A3 for just over half that price, and it's a year newer and had 40k on the clock.

I assume it is this one: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...o=2009&sort=price-asc&postcode=ox447rw&page=1

Can't really comment on the value except to say that on the plus side it doesn't look like that model was superseded for some time i.e. the 227bhp engine is only available in (more expensive) 2013+ models and the next model A4 didn't turn up until last year. In other words normally if you are buying a 7 year old car you would look to see if you can get an updated model for similar money but based on my cursory glance that doesn't seem to be the case.
