Basically, is there an app that will override the default swipe-to-answer behaviour of an HTC phone? So that you just have to press a button to answer or decline?

I hoped that a 3rd party lockscreen app like widgetlocker or GOTO might do it but sadly not.

The issues with the missus wildfire have been documented here. If we can't resolve it we'll have to get the bloody thing sent back. Doesn't happen all the time though, which makes it so frustrating.

Thanks!

At least on my Hero you can just tap the answer call button on the screen. They are both running Sense with Android 2.1 so it should be pretty much the same.

If the Wildfire is 'awake' then you have the 2 buttons 'accept' or 'decline' pop up.

If it's asleep then it pops up with the lockscreen - swipe down to answer, up to decline. And 75% of the time swiping doesn't work, meaning you miss the call.
