Hey guys,

has anyone else had a go with these new 25* drivers on an LCD TV with overscan? I've had the same problem with two different Vista installations on my laptop with an 8800M GS. I came from the ~197 ish drivers before, and had no problems with versions before that.
Basically when you go to the resize desktop option and then shrink your display so that it fits on your TV, the colour depth will always drop to 16-bit. If you then select 32-bit it'll disregard the resized desktop. There appears to be no way to choose the resized display and 32-bit colour! Aero then turns off and games have to select between full-colour rendering or a better fitting picture.
I get this with both large resolutions (eg 1920x1080) and smaller ones eg 720p.

Can anyone else replicate this?
Cheers!

Any chance anyone could have a quick go if you've installed the driver...you don't even need a TV - just do it with your monitor and see if it changes to 16-bit mode :)
