Overscan issue

Hey guys,

Some help here would be really appreciated.

I recently bought a new monitor.

It supports HDMI and VGA only, no DVI.

However I have a black border of about 10px round the edge of the screen, even with underscan set to 0% in ccc.

It seems I what i need is an overscan setting.

There is an overscan setting on the monitor, which does stretch the image to the right size, but it also crops off the same size border.

I'm really struggling here and would be really grateful for any help.

Thanks in advance.

Hmm, maybe it is.

Pretty rubbish to have a super slim bezel but then have a 10px border though!

I'll try using a VGA cable to test this theory, I hear VGA doesn't have overscan issues like HDMI does.

Yep that's the one, the ASUS, well worked out.

Thanks for the pic, that is how mine looks. Good to know that it is normal.

Thanks a lot.
