I have just changed from a AMD to Nvidea card. My screen res is 1920 x 1080, I have set the resolution within windows to be the same, however the taskbar is mostly gone and the image is overscanned. I am using windows 8.

I can correct this using the desktop resize within the driver, but it makes text harder to read and reports the resolution as being less than the native. How can I fix this without reducing the resolution of the display?

It'd connecting to my Samsung TV, no scaling options on that which I can see. I am going via a receiver also, but have just tried hdmi direct to the TV and got same issue. Reinstalled drivers.

Edited original post for my typo the screen resolution is 1920 x 1080.

Update - I just changed the screen adjustment on the Samsung, it was set to 16:9 which has been fine for everything else, to 'screen fit' which corrects the overscan. Many thanks for your help.

It does that also until you edit the input/source to pc,dvi to bypass the tv processing.
I get much clearer text that way.
