Overseas Purchase

Hi,
Anyone know how to purchase overseas?

Laptop I fancy is customisable spec in the USA (not available on Overclockers) but the website does not deliver outside USA etc.. as they charge 30%+ for a lower spec version on the UK site.

Either contact the company and ask them, or you can order it to a USA address (There used to be a way of doing this) and they ship it onto you. Be aware that VAT, Customs and Exise charges will be applicable. (Add 15% and add an extra amount for duty charges) as well as a maximum f £14 processing fee that Parcel Farce will steal off you for the priviledge of charging you VAT + Duty.

I recall some website that setup a fake PO Box but that was some years ago so no idea if it would work!

I'm almost certain it's not an issue, but is there anything in a US Laptop that would be incompatible with the UK? Only ask as a website selling an import had a disclaimer to that effect?
