Until recent most of the 1600 ram was 1333 1.5v running at 1600 1.6/65v, now it's all 1600 1.5v.

My boards bios (pretty basic) won't go below 1.584v so I'm curious, can ram rated at 1600 1.5v be safely run at 1.6v? Possibly with better timings :D

Doubt that it would run with better timings, but I am sure that 0.084 overvolt would be a problem.

Well why? Usually there's a 5% safe ov on ram (there has to be since so many boards don't get it right) which is 1.575, a .009 difference. The 1600 1.6/65 ram you buy are just 1333 chips running at 1600 overvolted.

Running 1.5v ram at 1.6v will be completely fine. Stick it up to 1.66v or higher and you may be able to get better timings but it could take you an entire weekend to get there, not worth it.
