Who else finds the threads on here for each specific game rather overwhelming?

Seeing 500 posts etc for a thread about a game just puts me off reading it, but I understand that having 50 threads for the same game would not be good either.

tbh, sometimes it's good to just sit and read through what others are saying - doesn't take long to catchup!

I find the high interest in a game handy for knowing hwether it is worth getting. You can tell from the first page the overall vibe of whether or not the game is any good

I find part of the problem is there are loads of posts about the game before its released.

Pre-release information is good (Leaked information, E3/Gamescom reveals, NeoGaf theories, press releases, screenshots and trailers etc) besides a member who is active and holds a great interest in a game will create an ***official thread*** and will constantly update the OP with useful information you need to know.

If you're just looking for information on what the game plays like after release just post in the thread and someone will respond. However, it takes a minute looking through the last couple of pages as the question would have been asked if the thread for the game is very active.

Which thread(s) do you find overwhelming?

just put a post at the end asking your questions if you have any.

its like the Windows 10 one that's got god knows how many replies but people just do a post for what they need to know or like answered and people reply regardless of how many times its been asked.

what posts are you referring too?

What's overwhelming about it?

If you want the latest news & discussion, go back a page or two and pay attention to the date.

Nah not at all. I find if you open the last page and it doesn't make sense just go a few pages back to find the start of the latest discussion.

I would hate multiple threads on the same subject. Iirc bf4 thread is on its 4th iteration :D.

Exactly, it's just typical poster laziness that stops people from spending 5 minutes clicking back a few pages to catch up on the latest news. I have zero sympathy for those people and always make a point of pointing out how the answer they need is only about 30 posts back.

Heck, even this thread title is about as lazily uninformative as it gets.
