At my next upgrade I'll be giving my MBP to my mum as a birthday present and want to buy a 13" MBA to replace it.
I can live without the Firewire Port/Backlit Keyboard/IR Receiver/DVD Drive but the two things that concern me is how slow the SSD.
I have a Vertex 2 my MBP at the moment and while it's fast, it's not the fastest around and can be 'slow' sometimes.
The toshiba SSD in the 2010 MBP is even slower compared to the Vertex 2, however OWC, an american company have a replacement 'strip' SSD that is has a SF2 controller and is a bit quicker on it's feet than stock.
Have any of you tried this or managed to get it from the US?
