Hi.

I just want to know from all you owners of E6600's purchased in june what your overclocks are, apparently E6600's aint as good at overclocking now as the older ones were back when they came out.

So what are you overclocks if your purchased an E6600 in june, just wondering since thats the time I got mine and my CPU seems to hit a brick wall at 3.4Ghz, runs fine at 3.3Ghz by looks of it.

Thanks
Willz.

Not sure if it counts, but I got mine near the beginning of July. I'm quite new to overclocking. Got it to 3Ghz first time without messing with voltages etc.

My guess is it'll do 3.2+ at least.

mine suuuuucks at overclocking
so much so i cant even get to 3Ghz without it spacking out.... :(

i think i might blame my MoBo though...

Bought in June and it's ticking at 3.15, stable with a slight nip up in voltage to make rock solid with anything I throw at it. Feels liek it would go higher but it's fast enough for me at this mild overclock. Never thought I'd call a 50% clock speed increase as mild. :D

Mine is 6B2, I to find the other info I need to take the cooler off, dont know if I want to do that tho, its a nightmare to get the cooler back on.

Maybe it could be my mobo that is making it not overclock high.

I'm going to try 3GHz on stock volts today, my guess is it wont boot, I am trying 1.7V at 3.3 atm to see if that will work.

1.7v :O mines barely on 1.36v...

Woops, typing error, I meant 1.47V :p

Just got an error the group policy has stopped working, as soon as I click close Windows will crash, guess it needs 1.5V for 3.3.

If I dont click it Orthos reports no errors, and everything works, so think its ok? But strange things are going on, just now Aero kind of stopped, reverted to Windows classic, then back to Aero

My E6600 needs a lot of Vcore, 1.525 for just 3.2GHz thats for it to be Orthos stable although i can run it at 1.475 and play games no problem.

bought mine in early june.

does 3.6 orthos stable on air/stock volts (roughly 45c idle 65c load)

Can load into windows and do most things @ 3.85Ghz, but after about 2 hours it just blue screens :S - blame my mobo (P5N-E Sli 650i) for that

quite like 3.6Ghz, because you get the 1:1 memory:cpu ratio, duno if it really helps though.

No offense guys but some of you got rubbish cores if thats the issue  Me 2 L629B can do 3.4Ghz on 1.3v, they're hot as stars though :D

I aint loosing sleep over it, I am sticking to 3.2Ghz at 1.45V, thats orthos stable, I might be able to get away with 1.4V for everything else.

Just a quick one Denno, a 50% clock increase on an E6600 would be 3.6 not 3.15. :p

Hi got my E6600 at the beginning of June, i have it sat nicely @ 3.5Ghz 12 hours orthos stable on air using Zalman CNPS7500LED flower cooler.

Idle temps are 52 and load temps are 69

CPU is lapped though and mounted with AS5, btw vCore = 1.425

Surely my mobo must be holding my CPU back, I mean 1.45 Vcore for 3.2Ghz here, 28 idle and 55 load, using some OCZ stuff, it is litrally AS5 tho.

I need 1.425v to get the same overclock with similar temps. There was a bad batch of E6600 around april/may, maybe you got one of those. Don't worry about it too much, how much difference is it really going to make getting to 3.4 or a bit higher.

I dunno, but with the Vdroop the voltage is infact 1.38V at 3.2Ghz which makes me think my temps are not good, today coz of really hot temps, 58 load, 34 idle, even 55 load aint good.

Got mine in June and it does 3.2ghz on stock voltages idle at 24 degrees and load at 45 degrees.

Keep trying to get it stable at 3.5ghz but it just keeps needing more voltage, last try was 1.468v but it wasnt 8 hours orthos stable :( However the temperatures are 31 degrees idle and 54 degrees load at that voltage
