I've just sold my Sony Blu-Ray BDP-300 and bagged myself a 40gig PS3 as a replacement blu-ray player for my other telly. The obvious bonus is that I now have super fast blu-ray player and it also plays games !!! as well as act a media server to my other hi-fi gear..

So so so much happier. The BDP300 was frustratingly slow. Like 3mins to load a movies when the PS3 only takes seconds.

Idea's in what games work well in co-op ? using two different PS3's.

I'm now keen to explore fun things to do with 2 ps3's networked together.

I'm obviously not keen in going out to buy two different copies of each game, but what about my downloads ? Using the same profile, can they be co-op'd?

Things like that..

Thx

i think you can download purchased content up to 5 times [IIRC]

so you could put a download onto both machines and use them together?

tbh i dont know of many people who have access to two ps3s!

i assume it works in the same way as the 360 system link function.
in most cases you will need two copies of the same game i reckon

My housemates got a PS3 as well but havent tried LAN yet, only game ive got that hes got is Resistance so ill give it ago later, hopefully there is a LAN option.

If you have the disc version of Warhawk you can install it to upto 5 other machines for LAN parties, and as its 4 player spilt screen you could have an 8 player battle. The PSN version is locked to one account only and cant be shared as such.

what is the point in this though? think about it, 1 vs 1, plus you cant physically play both at the same time, so basically you and a friend could play networked games together, but you need 2 copies of the game, negating the whole point of playing over lan, you may as well play online together than playing 1 vs 1 together, if your buying games to play LAN the only one bothering with would be command and conquer, any other game you might as well just use 1 ps3 and splitscreen, think about the costs involved too, 2 tv's, 2 ps3's, 2 copies of each game, this isnt a viable option for most people, unless you need more than 1 blu ray player in your household

Yeah that's pretty much the 'only' reason I bought a 2nd PS3, for the 2nd Blu-Ray player.. I watch a lot of movies, and sometimes the missus wants to watch whatever woman programs she watches. The stand-alone was too slow, so time for another PS3.. But it is nice to choose which room to play on..

luck beggar. I thought I was bad buying a PS3 when I had a 360 two just takes the biscuit hehe
