This is the size of the cable inside, the outer is just a shield. The lock on mine got jammed today for no reason at all, Took me about 3 seconds to cut through it with an angle grinder & that is the Pathetic cable inside, Not even worthy of a decent Mountain bike lock let alone a motorbike lock. Serves me right for buying a cheap one I s'pose but still that is rubbish.
Now as they now do battery powered angle grinders anybody can get through one of these locks in Seconds & I don't mean untold noise & monstering it I just mean Slice & you're through it.
So anybody using one of these locks now knows they are made of Butter & anybody thinking of buying one will not.
Was a complete nightmare this morning, Places to go people to see, Stuck the key in the lock & it turned fine & was opened just the other day & is only a few months old, Key went all the way round to the springy bit where it's s'posed to pop open & Jammed.
+
Had to borrow my mates angle grinder so getting my bike out at 9am meant being able to go out around 11am after all the messing. Took the lock back to the shop & they gave me my money back no prob there except one of the back room staff taking offence to me saying I'd be telling everybody just how **** these locks are.
I had one on the back & one on the front my alarmed disc lock my bike alarm & steering lock & it's in my alarmed shed so I wasn't relying on it but others might be using this whilst out & about, Don't as it could jam like mine & leave you stranded in the middle of no where or you could leave your bike somewhere & it could be gone in seconds.
