OZ Dslite power supply question

Got a DS lite winging its way over from Australia.

IS the power supply the same as the uk? If so could i simply remove the chargers oz plug and replace it with a uk plug?

Id wager that the plug will be a transformer so you want to get a converter plug to essentially turn the pins into a uk pin out.

I too have a ds lite on its way from oz so have looked into this. I found a converter on the high street for 2.99.
 
yeah seen that convertor, just neater with out one thats all.. forgot it would adapter would probably plug straight into the wall..

Your not getting yours sent from dvdcrave?

I hope not thats where im getting mine from...when did you order yours and when do you expect it? Im just hoping it manages to get here on time as i go off on holiday the 20th.

ok had me worried for a second.

I ordered what I think would have been technically yesterday for them and they shipped it today. It says 5 to 10 days so I guess at best were looking at next friday or at worst the friday after that. I find that air mail is pretty good from asia but ahve never had anything sent from australia before. I think it will come early week after next.
 
Ordered mine wednesday.. had an email this morning to say it had been shipped as well... so they must be out on the same shipment. :p

ok cheers bud. Lets see if ebay can give me any joy. Lik sang annoyingly dont let me send stuff to an address thats not the billing address.

skysnapper: lets hope that plane gets here in record time. Despite having a DS already I really cant wait to have ago on this little thing. With summer finally arriving the nromal back light doesnt seem to cut it any more.
 
Already got a DS myself, getting it for 2 player shennagians as im going away with a bunch of mates.. unfortuntely 2 days before the official UK release, so had to get if from Australia! :P

From what i rem of usb chargers for the psp they took substantially onger to charge the device is that not the case with the lite ?
 
On a related note I just got stung £25 custom charges for importing my DS Lite. :)

Bought it from Lik-sang February and it has just caught up and dropped through the letterbox. :o

Not sure how long it takes TBH,I just leave it plugged into the pc overnight.
 
So mine turned up today, did yours skysnapper? Its truely a thing of beauty, and comparing the screen directly with an old ds its amazing to see the difference. The old one looks all grey and dull now.

No sign of mine... maybe its sat in the post room at work..

ill be worried if i don't get it by the end of today now :p

Regular post for mine from DVDCrave - came yesterday including New Super Mario Bros which is 5 days delivery :D. Then this morning Mario Kart DS got delivered(courtesy of CD-Wow and a £5 voucher :D). I didn't have any customs fees either - the DS was marked as a gift and $30 value.

I would happily recommend DVDCrave to anyone wanting to import a DS Lite.
