I dont udnerstand this, but how come is the results so unusual with some X1950's beating GTS's and some GTS's beating GTX's when the GTX's could be on better systems

It depends entirely on your PC's configuration....aswell as driver used...background apps..etc..etc

I don't know how either, it mainly seems to be down to driver version but there are some strange problems such as pushing my gtx over 680/2000 on either the ram or core changes nothing, does the same on my laptop, anything over 590/750 doesn't change anything.

Still it's a great bit of fun.

Ok just manged to get 3284 @ 702/1008 (2016) on my X1950XT. Of course that was running my fan at 100%. That running XP Pro SP2 with 7.6 drivers and ATiTool. No catalyst installed, and no 'tweaks' performed to drivers. It is running totally standard as installed. Hmm... gonna see if I can remember my photobucket password.

A strange thing though. At 695/1008 I got a 1 point decrease compared to 675/999. Strange. I tested 3 times @ 695 and got an identical score for each test run.. pretty consistant lol.

Hmm... considering whether to push my luck and put more than 1.45v through my xt and up the core and try upping the memory voltage as well? Any advice on max values here?

X1950XT @ 702/ 1044 (2070) = 3346Matthew

And clocked to E4300 @2.6Ghz.. but it actually LOWERED my score by 3 points by having an extra 200mhz on the CPU (instead of 2.4ghz)

I am pretty sure pushing my upper limit now. I reckon, 3400 absolute max with stock cooling, we will see.

Cool :) I tried adjusting the res, to see if that was making a difference to the scores, and can say that it auto adjusts back to 1280*1024 for the benchmark. Some peoples resolution isn't that (i.e. widescreen).. so just wondering if this is something that might be affecting the scores.

I also corrupted my drivers it seems as it was crashing every time I tried to alter a setting (video frequency and resolution if I lowered it... but not if I made it higher lol).

Anyway... 3346 was the best I could get without getting too risky. Any higher on mem or core and it bails out :(

EDIT: I'm also considering slipping in my 5700LE 128MB AGP and seeing if I can attain a better score than Mike Hunt at 13 lol. Getting late now, so will prob attempt tomorrow for a laugh :)

EDIT 2: Confused about some of the scores on this, as there is a huge variety, and it's not like I have exactly the best spec. My card is limited by a x4 pci-e slot so should have reduced my performance significantly. Cyber-Mavs score is one for concern, as that seems exceptionally low for an x1900xt.

For info I install only the 7.6 ati driver + wdm driver (no catalyst), and then install ATI Tool, and just adjust clock with it. No tweaks or tricks are performed, other than an overclock.
