Weird one this, just rebooted my PC to go into the BIOS and noticed "NO KEYBOARD DETECTED" message show, booted to Vista fine and noticed the keyboard doesn't respond, unplug the cable and use the USB connection instead of the PS/2 header and it works fine.
I get a spare KB and try the PS/2 port again and get the same problem.
My mobo is a P5KC and a CMOS reset has been done too.
I'm guessing there is no downside to using the USB port instead of PS/2 ? the mobo only has 1 PS/2 port for a KB anyway so I guess it would be nice to phase the port out really!
Anyone had a problem like this before too ?
Not really a major issue as I have USB ports to spare but just a minor annoyance on a one time occasion!
