P.c randomly shuts down

Hi can anyone help????

Asus p7p55d m/b
i5 processor
radeon hd 4870 (crossfire) x2 graphics card
700w ocz power supply
4 gb ram

Randomly the pc shut down (not even under load). It will not allow a restart straight after(have to wait about 5 mins). Have also noticed that the mb standby light goes off.

dont think the cpu's overheating(temp is sitting @ 30c at the mo).

I'm suspecting a psu prob as the stand by light goes off on the m/b.

Any sugestions anyone please!

DIY fault finding

Gut feelings are great , aren't they! I think you hit the nail on the head!! If you've got a spare PSU you can use it to rule out a crook power supply, could be just chocked with dust, Hands up who cleans out the dust of the PSU when you clean out the tower ??? A 100,000watt vacuum cleaner does wonders against the flow of any PSU,....what have you got to loose!
