Hi all :) I'd like to try out some filters using the p-type system, grads mainly. Kood filters seem to be generally half the price of the Cokin family, are the Cokin filters worth the extra cost ?

I don't like to compromise on quality but I don't want to throw money away :/

TIA.

Ive got a Kood CPL for my Cokin P mount. Works a treat and didnt cost the earth.
Also got a selection of Kood ND filters as well. Seem to do the trick.

i invested in some good P series cokin recently, ive heard that some of the kood filters suffer color casting, and the cokin nd grads can be found for a tennor each

I definitely wouldn't get Cokin branded ND grads, they tend to suffer from odd colour casts so aren't very good. It's been discussed beofre here, personally I have a set of HiTech ND filters and they are fine (although I did get the soft edge ones and have now discovered hard edge would have been better for most of my shots lol).
