Hi I'm currently getting quite high temperatures on my 770M getting about 78 Degrees under full load I'm wanting to reduce the temperatures by repasting allowing me to overclock comfortably.

Also my 4700MQ when playing battlefield was getting to about 98 degrees under load so I'm looking to repaste both components which paste would you recommend to get the best results.

Have you tried performing a BIOS update first? Quite often the later BIOSes can improve thermals by optimizing fan speed or tweaking the power delivery circuits.

I'd rather not touch the bios personally.

You're going to physically take the whole thing apart and put it back together and you're worried about performing a BIOS update? :p

Just make sure it's fully charged (and connected to the mains) and perform the update using a USB stick. It's far far less risky doing a BIOS update than performing a full rebuild of a laptop.

You will have to check the manufacturers website. What tends to happen is that they will supply a tool that makes a bootable USB image or it will write a BIOS ROM to the disk, which can then be flashed from within the BIOS.

I've also performed an update from within windows. If the system is stable (IE not prone to random crashes) then it is perfectly fine to do it this way.
