Hey guys i am looking to buy the P170EM laptop i7 3630 ivy QC Samsung slim blue ray Corsair Veng 8g memory Ocz vertex 128ssd Seagate 750g hdd Windows 7 proff That comes to £1431 now the question is can i improve anything on this spec if i stretched the budget to £1500 or is this a decent spec for the price thanks for any help folks

You have chooses really amazing laptop and I also used this one. I tell you that you have never faced any problem with this laptop. Also you can work very easily or playing games very easily.

I would bump it upto 16gb of RAM, down the road you can fit another 16gb of RAM under the keyboard.

Also down the road fit a mSATA SSD in the TV card slot, and finally once you get bored of the BluRay drive swap it out for a caddy and add an extra HDD.

Apart from that looks good.

I just got the P170EM with similar specs about a month ago, and I'm really happy with it.
I got mine slightly cheaper (slower, but larger HDD - DVD instead of BluRay - Windows Home Prem), but with 16 GB RAM for the future.

Thanks for replies folks im not that clued up when it comes to this stuff (and how to post in a tidy way) but i have also been looking at the m17 and while i know AW are a bit more expensive i like the look of their laptops and for a couple of extra £'s and a slightly better spec i could go down that route undecided yet (i have to see a man about knocking money off the m17 build if i choose it) any thoughts?

I've just bought a P150EM (the 15" version). I looked at Alienware and MSI, but I find the style of the laptops a little garish. I love the clean and simple style of the P150EM/P170EM. Plus, I liked being able to completely customise what hardware I had in it.

It should be arriving on Monday so I'll post my thoughts then if it helps.
