I have a P180 with the stock Chassis fans on it. They have the standard fan controllers on them, hi-med-lo settings.

They are connect to Molex plugs for power

With the case came a number of adaptors that go from the mobo headers to the molex power. However i have tried to use these, to control the fans from the mobo, without success.

Are these adaptors for this use? or are they specificially for use with a fan controller?

theyre simply a 3to4 pin adapter, doesnt matter on the use. can you not adjust the speed in your bios? you might have to enable manual fan control in one of the settings

I have not set the speeds of the chassis fans in teh BIOS, they are not connected to any of my MoBo headers. I think i will ahve to change them to get ones onto the headers, but if i do that i'll be gettigna proper fan controller.

the onyl issue i have right now is that my CPU fan is quite loud, and i have it set to run at 50% in Speedfan. Its a Freezer 7 Pro. Have recently acquired a Q6600 so i might fork out for a new cooler too
