P180 headphone ports

Is there anything I need to do to get the P180 headphone/mic ports to work? I have a x-fi scard where the mic works fine connected to that, but when connected to the P180 ports - nothing happens.

I have the internal cable connected to the front panel connector on the mobo (P5K Premium) with the hd cable.

I had the front ports connected to the motherboard - but they wouldn't work - so I then connected them to my sound card and they worked fine.

You have to make sure the Red Molex'd cable is plugged in to your soundcard. It's called the 738 or something. It's 4 pins in one block.
