Do I need any extensions, Im goimg to be using a abit Ip-35 motherboard?? Plus I want my dvd drive in the top bay, so will I need a extension for the power connector???
 
If the 4-pin (or 8-pin) ATX power plug is situated at the top of the mobo then you will be fine. If you want to flip the PSU so that the fan is pointing upwards you may need an extention, however there is no good reason for not running the PSU mounted normally pointing down.
