Hi gang,

How do I remove the bottom fan? Seem to be 4 stud thingys but they seem very tight and im scared to pull tooo hard incase i break them

thanks

:S ive been trying now for 1 hr 20 minutes lol and still havent cracked it :/ this is extremely frustrating.....

All I do is pull the fan and not the tabs?

I guess its not those black tabs on the back here then?

Ive tried pulling fan only by itself but it wont budge :/

arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh they just wont budge - im tempted to leave them alone and just have the fan there............ grrrrrrrrrrr i hate being defeated!!!!!!!!!!

Got my full build tomorrow - thought i would make a start now :( And im hitting obstacles already!!!!!! really pees me off when something so simple is so hard and feels like i could just snap something off......

well i slept on it (not literally :P ) and this morning i used a bit of strength and it came off within a couple of minutes.......

yeah thanks for all the help - it is a bit un-nerving how much pressure and the technique....... I have now moved it to the middle bay like you :) and just waiting for the rest of my bits for the build tonight :)

Not looking forward to putting the Noctua heatsink on - it looks fiddly and Ive never put on AS5 before - so I will probably bugger that up :P

Any other tips for tonight?

is it safe to build it outside the case like that? resting on caradboard boxes etc? how did you switch it on and off if not connected to case?

i have gone for Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3 - so it wont knacker anthing putting a screwdriver over the 2 power pins :P im tempted to do this before i install it in my case :)
