Hey all,
95% convinced myself to replace my (gorgeous, yet unsuprisingly HOT
) wavemaster with the hopefully ice-cool p182. Currently getting 45c idle/65c load on my stock opteron 170 which doesnt give me any headroom for oc
1- Wondering if people recommend swapping the stock tri-cool 120mm fans for some yate loons? would I notice a considerable difference in temps?
Apparently the loons are 28db while the tri-cools are 25db at i think 12v, so (if this is true) a decent reduction in temps is needed to justify the noise/cost.
2- Checking that its fine to connect the loons to the Zalman ZM-MFC1? Dont want to put to many amps through the fans.
At first I'll be air-cooling but those rubber holes for water at the back of the p182 do look tempting for a 120.2 someday... Which leads to the last Question:
3-is the p182 alright for water? Been reading people dont like it for that aspect...
Cheers
