This is not a new problem, some of you may have offered me help before now (Thanks). If I open my browser (FF or IE7) and download using Bearshare, I can get a very good download speed, but if I try to browse the net further the pages take a long while to load. It's as if the P2P port is taking up all my bandwidth. I have alted the settings from within Bearshare to reduce the amount allowed for downloading, I have turned uploading off completely and yet this still happens? I am using a BT Voyager 2091 router, and I have forwarded the ports for Bearshare. I am sure this is something simple, but what I don't know. Is there anything I need to check, or set up in the router config?
If it was an ISP problem I don't think I would get the good downloads at all. Having a look in event viewer I get a lot of event ID: 4226 TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent TCP connect attempts.
Also some DHCP denials??
