I have a problem again with P2P network. If I open my browser and Bearshare at the same time, it's as if BS sucks all the bandwidth away. I have configured BS to only use a small amount of bandwidth for testing and it makes no odds. As soon as I close bearshare my browser is fast again. Also when selecting a file to download it just sits on active now, with no action whatsoever. My firewall software is configured correctly, and I am sure my router is aswell. Any tips please folks.
Thanks Paul

could try netlimiter trial out and see if that makes a difference, as i dont know if setting download and upload limits on bearshare actually means thats the max bandwidth it'll use or thats the max the download/upload can achieve for that program.

Up until 2 weeks ago I was on 2mbit BB with Bt. Now I am on 6--8mbit. I never had a problem with the Speed touch 330 modem. I am now using a Voyager 2091 router. I did have it OK a few days ago, but I don't know whats changed. I am using an ethernet connection, and tonight I reset the router to factory default and then reset the port forwarding for BS.
Is the Speed touch a no go, I was advised by BT to buy the router as my old modem would not handle the higher download speed.
Any more ideas folks, thanks for the help already

:) Thanks guys. I have just installed the latest BS and it seems to be OK again?? Oh and I changed my router connection from Ethernet to Wireless<-----I don't think this did it but you never know. Hopefully this is sorted. I will be back to you helpful people if it isn't.
Asta Ya Pasties, Paul :)
