Narrowed down my choices to these

Can't decide between them

On paper the p30 Seems the best. It's also hard to ignore that macro and tele lens.

Only thing holding me back is the sometimes green colours and lack of consistency.

I always liked the colours and slightly saturated s7 pics so that's why I'm considering s20 range

Pixel 5 gets rave reviews for camera so that's in


Struggling to find a side by side review of the 3.
 
Here's a review of the S20 FE versus the Pixel 5 cameras, which concludes there's not much in it. Personally, I'd discount the P30 Pro just based on age and the 60hz screen. Non scientific, but I've read plenty of people who say the P30 camera output doesn't appeal to them. Maybe it's technically accomplished, but doesn't produce photos you can love.

Doubtless there'll be some Pixel people along telling you that the Pixel is "flat out" the best camera experience anywhere this side of a £25,000 professional setup, but the consensus this year is that the Pixel is no longer the front runner. And it lacks a telephoto lens which computer trickery can't entirely make up for.

Also the Pixel 5 has a mid-range SoC, which Google have downclocked further, while the S20 FE 5G has the fastest current Android SoC for about the same price in the current sales.

I agree with that on the p30. I wanted to love it. But the pics just look 'flat' can see they are technically good. But they just don't pop like the Samsung.

I've also seen there's not much in it from video reviews. I've seen a few side by sides and I prefer the slight saturation of the Samsung. What swung it was the tele.

The p30 is poor in video. I probably won't use it much. But its dire!

(I thought the fe didn't have this)

I always thing that any pics are only going to look less saturated on other screen types anyway. ie TN panels *shudder*

Going from s7 to s20 is 4 generations. Hoping for decent improvement overall!
 
I find the p30 pro saturated compared to the pixel 4xl.

I previously had a p20 pro for 2.5 years and mrs has p30 pro. Now ive got pixel 4 xl.
 
I might actually get the pixel at the same time and do a compare.

Sometimes I really like the pixel pics.

8ts a shame the xiaomi isn't waterproof. What a lovely looking phone that is
 
I switched from P30 Pro to Pixel 5, looking at it now. Without the headphone deal, I would have went for the 4A.

Night and day difference.

Software wise, camera quality, size, weight etc. It's miles better

Build quality apart from Sharp edges with a lip, it's not bad.

I would go for Xiaomi next time round, if I needed a cheap phone with decent spec.
